Biennale del Libro d’Artista

Il prossimo settembre Lineadarte Officina Creativa, da un’ idea e progetto di Gennaro Ippolito e Giovanna Donnarumma si pregia di proporre la prima Biennale del Libro d’artista campana, allineandosi così alle altre grandi città europee che da tempo danno visibilità a questa pratica artistica. Apristrada alla Biennale una prima manifestazione che si è tenuta nelle prime decadi autunnali “Aspettando la Biennale del Libro d’Artista” , presso una prestigiosa sede nel napoletano il neoristrutturato “Palazzo Merolla” sede istituzioneale della cultura e delle politiche sociali in Marano di Napoli, con il patrocinio del Comune e dell’Assessorato alla Cultura. Alla manifestazione hanno partecipato artisti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo.

A 11ª edição do file - festival internacional de linguagem eletrônica - acontece este ano no centro cultural fiesp - ruth cardoso, de 27 de julho a 29 de agosto de 2010. A programação ocupa a galeria de arte do sesi-sp, o espaço fiesp, o teatro e o mezanino do centro cultural, que recebem a exposição com instalações interativas, jogos, maquinemas, trabalhos de internet, performances e workshops.
The 11th edition of file – electronic language international festival – takes place this year at centro cultural fiesp – ruth cardoso from july 27th to august 29th, 2010. The programme occupies the art gallery of sesi-sp, the fiesp space, the theater and the mezzanine of the cultural center that hosts the exhibition with interactive installations, games, machinimas, internet artworks, performances and workshops.

Virion

Virion is a screen based digital art exhibition that links to public sites across Brisbane, focused in the Kelvin Grove Urban Screen Network.
Virion provides artists the opportunity to display their work across a network of public screens and access a diverse audience. The exhibition is open to all users from professional and emerging artists to people experimenting with cameras and scanners. There is no juried selection process and each work is given equal showing time. Submissions may be in the form of digital stills or video files up to 100MB each.
Each screen will play a compilation of diverse images and video that represent a wide & integrated range of local and international art practices and styles. Screens are located across a range of public, gallery and institutional sites to offer unique viewing experiences and to maximize & diversify Brisbane audiences' exposure to new media practices.
All submissions also play on the Virion website.
Throughout the exhibition the audience is invited to respond and participate by contributing further content to the show. Sites will be updated progressively to include all work.
Online Artist submissions are now open. To be included in the opening of the exhibition submissions must be received by July 14.

Light makes it possible for us to see and makes it hard for us to hide. We create great disasters to obtain it and we struggle with ignorance until it arrives. Paul Thomas has seen the light and it is beautiful like a rainbow. The selected works come from Athens, Italy, Ireland, and New York, including a performance by Sabrina Cuadra, a film by Christopher Childs, and more. Light will be shed at 6X6, this Wednesday, June 2 at the Ciné Lab from 7-8 pm. Be a part of it; be there!
